  • Arrive at a kid-friendly, dog-friendly park
  • Ideal for casual riders and small groups

You’ll enjoy beautiful coastal views most of the way, with chances to stop at shops, cafés, and scenic overlooks. This route brings you to Dinosaur Caves Park, a peaceful bluff-side park with ocean views and picnic tables. From here, you can continue to ride throughout Shell Beach to explore additional parks, seaside shops, and restaurants.

Points of Interest:

  • Margo Dodd Park
This small oceanfront park offers dramatic rocky cliffs, picnic tables,      and a gazebo with postcard-worthy views. It’s also a good spot for      spotting Dolphins, Seals, Pelicans and other sea life near offshore.
  • Eldwayen Ocean Park
A narrow strip of green space perched on the bluff, offering peaceful      ocean views and stair access to the beach below. Watch for sea otters,      seals, dolphins — and even whales in the right season.
  • Spyglass Park & Tidepools
A favorite for marine exploration — walk down to the tidepools to discover      sea stars, crabs, and colorful sea anemones. Sea glass is often found      here, especially at low tide. Check tide and surf conditions before heading out.

  • Avila Valley Barn
A Central Coast favorite. Pet the farm animals, grab fresh produce or      baked goods, and enjoy the seasonal fun just off the trail.
  • The Secret Garden at Sycamore Springs
A tucked-away gem right off the trail. Grab a wood-fired pizza, cold      drink, or glass of local wine under the trees. Open daily from 10 AM to dusk — the perfect mid-ride      break.

  •  Scenic E-Bike Rides Around Pismo Beach, over to Avila or down to Oceano

With Pismo Bike Rentals as your starting point at 470 Price Street. Pismo is full of amazing places to explore by E-Bike – whether you're riding along the shore towards Oceano or heading north to Shell Beach or Avila Beach. These bike routes are scenic, flexible, and full of chances to stop, take in the view, and enjoy the Central Coast at your own pace.

No matter where you go, you're in for something special enjoying the Central Coast.

Riding South for Electric Beach Bikes down to Oceano: We are not able to start in Pismo Beach so we have to enter at the Grand Ave Ramp.

Riding on the Beach from Pismo to Grand Ave

  • 6–10 miles round trip
  • Allow 1–2 hours
  • Scenic, flat terrain

Pro tips:

  • Dress in layers — it’s often much cooler on the beach
  • Check tide and surf conditions before heading out
  • Ideal during low tide for the best packed sand

From our shop, it’s a quick ride up Hinds Ave to (HWY 1) than to Grand Avenue, where you can access the beach and head south toward Oceano and the dunes. This ride takes you along the packed sand, with ocean views and plenty of space to roam — it’s one of the most unique ways to experience the Central Coast.

Points of Interest:

Monarch Butterfly Grove
Located on Dolliver Street (HWY 1) just before you reach the turn onto Grand Avenue, this quiet eucalyptus grove is home to thousands of monarch butterflies from late October through February.

Fin’s Bar & Grill
Situated at the end of Grand Avenue, right where you enter the beach, Fin’s offers casual coastal fare, cold drinks, and live music in a relaxed setting.

Old Juan’s Cantina
Exit from your beach ride at Pier Avenue and ride inland to where the street ends at HWY 1 to find this colorful, family-run cantina. It’s a great spot to recharge with classic Mexican dishes before heading back.

From Old Juan’s Cantina at Pier Avenue and HWY 1, you can ride north back to our shop or continue south to explore the unique shops of Oceano.

Important:  Please stay out of the water and do not cross creeks or streams on the beach. Riding through water can damage the motor and electrical system, and a $150 cleaning fee will apply if your bike comes back covered with excessive sand and debris.
